I was concerned about the extremely low calorie count, incomplete nutrition, and not being able to exercise. At the end of February, I quit the program. I now eat 1300-1700 calories per day, no flour, no sugar. I work out to the Insanity program 6 days a week and have been doing a couch to 5k program 3 days. The scale has not moved down one iota. So I added Spartacus to the days I don't run (about 2 sets). Scale still not budging. I am 44, female, 5'7.5", 180#. Any thoughts?? I try to do a carb/protein snack mornings and afternoon.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2792617240274942869.post-34780381004145821972013-03-30T12:38:59.157-07:002013-03-30T12:38:59.157-07:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2792617240274942869.post-17533989565405490532013-03-28T15:19:04.307-07:002013-03-28T15:19:04.307-07:00Hey Alvin,

I need to get back to my regular weight because due to the lack of exercise, medicines, and bed rest, I've gained 15 lbs. I have 2 cervical and 2 Lower Lumbar Herniations that are very painful but is something i have to learn to live with. What would be a good workout routine for a person with my injuries? How can i strengthen my neck & back to be able to get back to regular workouts? Doctors recommend exercise but not really get into details as to how to do this......HELP! ;)Mrs. Keylitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02813347677790312144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2792617240274942869.post-29497702620001542392011-07-11T05:42:12.668-07:002011-07-11T05:42:12.668-07:00Hey Alvin

I mentioned early in the reply that I didn't know the specifics of the reader and this would be a general reply. Also mentioned is the fact that not all diets and bodies are the same. For example, you seem to be on a vegeterian diet and all of the options you mentioned are primarily carbohydrates based. Someone who is looking to lose weight and is not on a vegetarian diet would have a hard time with this. Each diet must be tailored to each person but for the most part the lists above are pretty encompassing for people on a non-vegetarian diet. I would love to make a similar list for vegeterians though! You bring up a great point, thank you for your support!AP FIThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07450238452688276419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2792617240274942869.post-4072835943564549642011-05-25T07:54:50.298-07:002011-05-25T07:54:50.298-07:00Hi Alvin,

I recently joined a gym and the only thing I’m consistent with is cardio; I do Zumba classes a couple of times a week in addition to 30-40 minutes on the elliptical machine to break it up. I’m at a plateau with my current cardio only workouts. So, I want to add something else; maybe working out with weights or machines to build a little muscle and tone certain areas. I’m a little overwhelmed by the amount of machines at the gym and need a plan. Do you have any advice or know of any resources I can utilize to set up a plan?

Thank you,
RitaRitanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2792617240274942869.post-84714288535823459522011-05-25T07:31:47.438-07:002011-05-25T07:31:47.438-07:00You mentioned "Canned tuna packed in water&qu...You mentioned "Canned tuna packed in water" ... is there anything inherently wrong with the tuna that comes in the foil packets? You definitely don't want to substitute weight training with any of those to tone up but feel free to include them in your workout plans as long as you're not sacrificing your resistance training days.AP FIThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07450238452688276419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2792617240274942869.post-79687981892522517112011-04-22T05:25:52.421-07:002011-04-22T05:25:52.421-07:00You're welcome Cheryl!
